Manchester United FC will look to heap more misery upon Chelsea FC in the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League final after denying them the English title.

All-English final
The first all-English European Champion Clubs' Cup final – and the most prestigious footballing event to be held at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow – will see United look to pour salt on fresh wounds, having claimed the Premier League crown on Sunday with a 2-0 win at Wigan Athletic FC, while Chelsea could only draw 1-1 at home against Bolton Wanderers FC.

'We are bouncing'
The two teams had gone into the final day of the season level on points but Sir Alex Ferguson's side always knew that they would be celebrating provided they won due to their superior goal difference. "If we'd lost the title it would have been a great knock but we are bouncing into the Champions League final," said Sir Alex after claiming the tenth title of his 22-year reign.

Record toppling
Ryan Giggs equalled Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 758 games for United in that match and could break it if he takes the field at the Luzhniki. The 34-year-old former Welsh international winger, who won the UEFA Champions League with United in 1998/99, said: "We need to make the most of the occasion as they don't come around very often and hopefully we'll win the Champions League."

Maiden title
Meanwhile, as the two sides go head-to-head for the first time in continental competition, Chelsea manager Avram Grant is looking to bring Chelsea their first European Cup. "We have created history in becoming the first Chelsea team to get to a Champions League final but we want to win it and will do everything to win against a great team," said the Israeli.
